Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all professional development (PD) activities offered

by The OT Connection, LLC are accessible to all learners, including those with disabilities and

other special needs. This policy supports an inclusive and equitable learning experience by

providing a clear process for requesting and implementing accommodations (i.e., physical,

sensory, cognitive, or technological) in any learning format.

Policy Scope

This policy applies to all PD activities (live, virtual, hybrid, and on-demand) offered by The OT

Connection, LLC. It applies to all learners who may need accessibility accommodations, as well

as to instructors, planners, and administrative staff responsible for course design, delivery, and

learner support.

Policy Statement

Learner Cancellations

We understand that schedules change. The OT Connection, LLC offers the following

cancellation and refund options for individual registrants:

 Full Refund: Cancellations made 10 or more days prior to the scheduled live

course will receive a 100% refund of the registration fee.

 Partial Refund: Cancellations made 3–9 days before the course will receive a

50% refund.

 No Refund: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the course start time, or no-

shows, are not eligible for a refund.

 On-Demand Courses: Refunds for on-demand or self-paced courses will only be

issued if the learner has not accessed more than 20% of the content and the

request is made within 7 days of purchase.

No partial credit will be given for courses attended but not completed in their entirety.

To Cancel:

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to

[email protected] and must include the course name and learner’s contact

information.

Course Cancellations by The OT Connection, LLC

While we make every effort to run courses as scheduled, The OT Connection, LLC

reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any professional development activity due to

low enrollment, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of a cancellation:

 Learners will be notified as soon as possible via email.

 Learners will be given the option to:

• Transfer to a rescheduled session (if applicable)

• Receive a full refund of the registration fee

The OT Connection, LLC is not responsible for reimbursement of any travel, lodging, or

other expenses incurred by the learner.

Transfers and Substitutions

 Transfers: Learners may request to transfer their registration to a different

session of the same course (if available) up to 3 days before the event. One

transfer per registration is allowed.

 Substitutions: Learners may substitute another person in their place up to 24

hours before the course at no additional charge.
